The first new 'official' adoptable for 2012, the Dremish Stoat. 8D This set is also the first of a new setup thanks to recent story events. A certain someone has just torn a gigantic hole in the fabric of reality, and the resulting mirajin overload is mutating lots of natural creatures well beyond the old norms. There will be normal adoptable sets coming from areas less affected than others... but from the zones close to the Veil, the adoptable sets have various flavors of "original mutated" and "shit, son, get away from that miraplasm". ''
Natural is now Vital, and Vital is officially unpossible.
Dammit, Nef!
This set isn't without its design flaws-- I tried to catch everything, but a few aspects slipped under my radar until after release. I'm hoping to bust my butt to make things like that as rare as possible by the time the year's out, though.
Oh, and while we're tallying firsts-- this is also the first adoptable inked in SAI and finished up in Photoshop!
Darn, no more pretty Vitals. XD Regardless of that, I will really enjoy seeing what mutant monstrosities your mind comes up with next.
As for this adoption; I really like what you have done for it, really didn't expect the snake tail on the beta and natural. It's a nice touch and rather amusing, considering the Stoat's larger cousin, the Mongoose, attacks and eats snakes. X3
Thank you! 8D And yesssss, exactly! I figured stoats and mon...mongeese? mongooses? mongi? :c THOSE THINGS are closely enough related that the reference would work just as well!
I would just say Mongoose as plural too, I think it works both ways? And yes, Stoats and Mongoose are very similar looking indeed, I had to think twice about what the snake attacking animal was supposed to be. XD
Wow, the tainted is almost like a big, fat stoatpak. XD I'd love to see more of these.

I like Japanese stuff. I dislike magical girls. I try to do the right thing. I'm obsessed with bad guys and shadow-beasts. The senseless upsets me. The absurd delights me. I love all things indigo. I am Takumi.
I feel silly for loving these mainly because of the snake tail. I'm such a sucker for snakes and reptiles, and it's like a chimeric stoat. woahman. Scaly tummy is cute too. The Beta and Natural are just to die for. ;-;
... Except Vital everything.

...in an asexual way.
Why yes, I am asexual. No, I cannot split myself in half. Unfortunately.
Life sucks, but there's always wolfaboos to laugh at.
I will not respect your fetish. Go cry about it.
*Proud kafir.
